The present contract is the Fixed Lump Sum, Design & Build Contract
Contract Price 169,500,000 KWD.

Refurbishment/reconstruction of the 45 kilometres of six lane dual carriageway (three in each direction) with a provision of the space for future upgrade with addition of one lane in each direction – hence completion of eight lane motorway (four in each direction) for the State of Kuwait will be eventual output of the Project.
Construction of 9 interchanges at grade separated junctions, which include 18 elevated three lane bridges and 1 elevated two lane vehicular flyover. All these comprise 13 km of motorway on reinforced earth ramps and pertaining retaining walls.
Each bridge will have one additional lane, separated by barriers. This technical detail will allow converting bridges from three to four lane structures, which will allow the future widening of the motorway without additional structural works on the bridge.

Implementation of traffic diversions in close coordination with the Ministry of Interior – Traffic Police.
Maintenance of uninterrupted traffic on the traffic diversions during the construction.
Removal of existing and construction of new bituminous pavements, installation of the traffic control system including road marking and traffic signs and safety barriers.

Complete protection of existing sanitary pipelines.
Complete relocation of existing water, electrical and telecom lines.
Complete reconstruction of existing street lighting system.
Relocation of existing electrical networks inclusive high, medium and low tension underground and overhead electrical power lines.
Complete relocation and protection of existing various oil pipelines.
